Advanced File Organizer does not use any database engines. The database (catalog) generated by Advanced File Organizer is very compact, it is saved to the *.afo file.
To save the current catalog, select File | Save. If the catalog has no name yet, Advanced File Organizer prompts you to specify its name and location.

By default, Advanced File Organizer asks you about saving changes on close.
To save an existing catalog to another file, use File | Save as menu item.
