Advanced File Organizer Main Window
The Advanced File Organizer main window is divided into two parts and looks similar to Windows Explorer. In the left-hand part of the window you can browse folders and disks in a tree. In it's turn the right-hand part is divided into three frames. It contains properties of the file, folder or disk selected in the left-hand part (for folder or disk you can browse the list of files or folders contained in it). So, the main program Window containes four parts:
- Left-Hand Panel Folders, disks and groups in the tree.
- Information Panel is for general properties. Type (Folder or Disk can be selected in the left part of the main window), Name, Contents (number of files and folders), Serial Number and Used place (for disk), location and size (for folder).
- Middle Panel displays the list of files and folders contained in the selected folder or disk. Here you can select a folder or a file.
- Properties Panel displays the properties of the file or folder, which is selected in the middle panel.
You can also browse the folder or disk properties by right-clicking its name.
Notes
- You can hide Information and Properties Panels from the main program menu. Use menu item View | Information Panel to hide/show Information Panel. Menu item View | Properties Panel will hide/show Properties Panel.
- You can select the information in the Bottom Panel. For general File properties click the 'Properties' button. To browse and edit file descriptions, click the 'Description' button.
- You can sort the list in the middle panel by the column you want (Name, Size, Modified or Type). To sort this list, click on the appropriate column header. Click again, and the list of files and folders will be sorted in the reverse order.
- You can change the column order in the middle panel. To do this drag the column header and drop it where you want.
