| Advanced File Organizer: User Guide |
Categories are a way to order your files and folders not changing their physical locations. You create your "ideal" file structure (hierarchy of Categories) according to your needs and place files, folders and disks in it. You can use any characteristic that distinguishes a certain group of files from others (Music, Documents, Books, Images etc.). After that you can browse your files by categories (in the Category View) as if they are really stored by categories.
You can assign one or several categories to any file, folder or disk in the catalog including files and folders from archives (*.zip, *.rar files).
To organise the category structure (Category Tree) choose the File | Setup Categories menu item. The Edit Categories dialog will appear. Use this dialog to add a new category by clicking the Add button.
To add a new category, first select the location to add it to and then click the Add button.
